December 30, 2008 – FPT Corporation’s revenue has hit the US$ 1 billion landmark this morning, confirming its position as the leading technology company in Vietnam.

December 29, 2008 at the Nikko Hotel, Hanoi – within the frame work of the Prudence IT Scholarship, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth Union, the Vietnamese Student Association, and Aptech Vietnam in coordination with the Prudence Foundation of Prudential Corporation (UK) awarded the first 35 scholarships.

December 26, 2008 – at the Đoan Thị Điem Elementary School (Hanoi), the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) in coordination with FPT Corporation launched the first online mathematics contest (Mathematics Violympic) for elementary and pre-highschool students nationwide.

On December 23^rd 2008, FPT Corporation received announcement of Dispatch No. 829/TB-SGDHCM from Hochiminh Stock Exchange concerning the listing and trading of additional bonus shares. Details of the Dispatch are as follows:

In an unfavorable condition of financial market and economy, Vietnamese economy could not avoid certain impacts. However, FPT Corporation still kept its growth rate in November 2008, with revenue reaching nearly 77 million dollars, raising total revenue by the end of November to 919 million dollars, exceeding 3.9% to planned and accounting for 92.9% of year planning. Profit before tax achieved over 67 million dollars, growing at 24% compared with the same period of 2007, exceeding 13.1% to planned and accounting for 90.8% of year planning.

October 1, the project jointly implemented by ABeam Malaysia and FPT Information System (FPT IS) to provide SAP R/3 4.7 solution for SATO Vietnam was successfully completed and put into official operation.
