The school start was attended by Peter Smith – Manager of the East Asia Cooperation Program at Greenwich, Dr. Le Truong Tung- Rector of FPT University, and M.A. Tran Ngoc Tuan- Vice Rector, experienced lecturers recognized by the University of Greenwich for background and quality- who directly take part in the course, and the freshmen of FPT Greenwich.

On behalf of the University, Mr. Peter Smith welcomed 67 freshmen of FPT Greenwich to the University of Greenwich of the United Kingdom- an international university having more than 2,500 foreign students from over 100 countries around the world.
The students were introduced with the scope, the study subjects and notable information of the IT top-up program by FPT University and the University of Greenwich. Mr Smith shared some ideas with the students in a friendly way, memorably quoting “the more you learn, the more you earn”, and he expressed his belief that the choice to study at Greenwich would bring students the advantages of the degree issued in the U.K.
80% of students with sufficient English proficiency to achieve admission to the University of Greenwich had attended and successfully finished the preparation English course by FPT University. The management board of the university had granted certifications and presents for their best performance.

On behalf of students of the first course, I’d like to express our deep thanks to FPT University and the University of Greenwich for offering us such an opportunity to study IT more deeply, and an internationally recognized degree”, said Bui Viet Dzung.
All students of the first course were presented the original training document set from the University of Greenwich worth 300 USD.
In addition, the Mathematics and Information Department of the University of Greenwich allows students to access its network of diversified information and documents.
The curriculum of FPT Greenwich began on 17th August 2009.
