The World Energy Council explores collaboration prospects with FPT Digital

Ms. Tita Thy Nguyen, Executive Director of the National Committee of Members of the World Energy Council (WEC), visited FPT Digital to explore potential collaborations in the global development of green energy and sustainability.

The World Energy Council (WEC), founded in 1923, is a globally recognized energy agency endorsed by the United Nations. WEC boasts over 3,000 member organizations spanning nearly 100 countries worldwide. Its core objective is to foster international dialogue and collaboration among energy stakeholders, including governments, businesses, NGOs, and energy sector experts.

WEC is eager to have FPT Digital's participation at the World Energy Congress, one of the energy sector's premier events, drawing leaders and decision-makers from around the globe. The conference, themed "Redesigning Energy for People and the Planet," is scheduled for April 22-25 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It presents an opportunity for leaders to engage deeply and substantively in the collective global endeavor to reshape energy sources for the benefit of the world and each region.

Furthermore, the discussions encompassed cooperation plans for various short-term and long-term projects by WEC, including the "Long Green - Offsetting Carbon Footprints" series, the community project "Vietnam Green Journey" aiming at social impact and initiatives to advance the dual transformation of energy, and the establishment of the World Energy Academy in Vietnam. These initiatives aim to raise awareness about energy and the environment among 1 billion individuals and transition 200 million jobs to green careers by 2030.

In discussions with WEC, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Sustainable Development Consultant, highlighted that FPT Digital possesses both human and material resources, particularly professional expertise, to aid WEC in achieving its objectives by 2030. Specifically, FPT Digital can provide professional knowledge and research documents concerning energy consumption trends and the implementation of emerging technologies in the energy sector to assist WEC's member organizations in attaining sustainability targets.

Furthermore, FPT Digital can collaborate in organizing seminars, forums, and events to address significant topics in energy and digital transformation, aiming toward green transformation objectives. FPT Digital can provide advisory services in formulating strategies and policies regarding digital transformation and sustainable energy. This partnership facilitates the development of specific action plans by WEC and its member nations to realize energy and environmental objectives and commitments.

The meeting between representatives of the two organizations has laid the groundwork for numerous impactful projects in the future. Leveraging the strengths of both organizations will facilitate the advancement of sustainable development in the energy sector, mitigating adverse effects on the environment and society while concurrently generating economic and social value for communities.

Vietnam's official membership in the World Energy Council signifies its commitment to fostering sustainable cooperation with energy-related organizations aimed at ensuring Vietnam's energy is sustainable, cost-effective, safe, responsible, and globally integrated.
